These Cougar tickets arrive in grand style

PULLMAN – Talk about first-class service. A half-dozen Cougar football season-ticketholders received their tickets in style Tuesday evening. Five Cougar ballplayers, wearing their jerseys waving a large Cougar flag and accompanied by the large helmet car blaring the Cougar fight song, hit the residential streets of Pullman to hand-deliver season tickets to some very surprised fans.

"It's pretty cool, coming out here and showing our support for our fans," said Cougar safety Deone Bucannon.

"Ya know, being able to give back to these guys that have showed true loyalty to the Cougs all these years feels pretty good,” said offensive lineman Wade Jacobson. “They come out every year and support us and this is our way of showing them how much they mean to us."

Chalk it up to another small way the creative marketing juices are flowing out of Bohler under athletic director Bill Moos.

Besides Bucannon, the Cougar contingent includes receiver Bobby Ratliff, offensive lineman John Fullington and slot receiver Andrei Lintz.

They spent about 20 minutes at each of their drop-off points, and were greeted with huge smiles all around.

Many fans asked several questions in regards to the stadium and Coach Leach. Many comments were also made to each player individually to stay out of trouble because "It's clear, Leach will give you quite a kick in the pants" as one elderly woman put it. “
