BREAKING: Leach lands his 4-star QB
The 6-2, 202-pound Bruggman is rated 4 stars by Scout.com and ranked the No. 26 quarterback prospect in the nation. He had more than a dozen scholarship offers, including rides from ASU, UCLA, Arizona, Arkansas, BYU, Michigan State, Purdue and others. Today he told CF.C by text message he has verbally committed to Leach and Washington State. "I've decided, and I've informed both schools that I'm going to be a Cougar!" Bruggman said in the text. We'll have more from Bruggman on his decision to go crimson a little later on. Bruggman as a junior completed 156 of 259 passes (60.2 percent) for 2,497 yards and 37 TDs. He threw only two interceptions all season. He was named the Arizona Republic Phoenix Metro Player of the Year in 2011 and was named to several first team All-State squads. He is the No. 1 QB recruit in the state of Arizona for the 2013 class and the No. 26 QB nationally according to Scout.com. Bruggman held double digit offers, and chose WSU over full rides from Pac-12 schools ASU, Arizona and UCLA as well as Arkansas, Purdue, Michigan State and others.
