NEWSWIRE: Timing right for Leach

ATHLON SPORTS AND an Austin newspaper column out today are both pointing towards a Washington State resurgence to winning seasons and bowl games under Mike Leach.

Among the points listed -- timing.

Mike Leach, says The Statesman, comes to the Pac-12 "at the perfect time, what with three other new coaches arriving at UCLA, Arizona State and Arizona while Southern Cal deals with scholarship limits because of NCAA probation. Oh, and there's the ongoing investigation of Oregon regarding potential recruiting violations."

Athlon, meanwhile, says "the pieces are in place for Leach to lead this team to a bowl game in 2012."
