Mansel Simmons officially a Cougar
Simmons had 27 tackles with 1.5 sacks on the season from his defensive end spot.
Sheldon this season on offense attempted 163 passes all season, to complement 363 running plays. But Simmons made every one of his 12 catches count -- with 286 yards, (23.83 ypc), and three touchdowns on offense.
His personal best 40 time was a reported 4.70 at a preseason Nike combine, while his youtube highlights list a 4.55.
With Simmons now in the fold, and CF.C counting defensive end and January enrollee Xavier Cooper in the tally, the number of new Cougars now stands at 27. Note: Cooper is however officially counted by Washington State as a member of their 2010 signing class, which is why WSU's release today refers to 26 for the 2011 class.
Note: CF.C projects two additional signings to become official in the near future after the paperwork machinations are all finalized, that of junior college transfer DEs Eli Edwards and Niko Aumua.
