NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Seven

RIAN LINDELL

BUFFALO KICKER Rian Lindell did all he could to secure the Bills first win of the season, booting a 50-yard field goal to tie Baltimore with 4 seconds remaining in regulation on Sunday. The Washington State alum's elation was short-lived, however.

Alas, it was Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff being carried off the field after kicking the game-winning three-pointer in overtime.

It was Lindell's eighteenth field goal of 50 yard or more in his 11-year career. Fellow WSU alum Jason Hanson holds the all-time NFL record with 42 career three-pointers from 50 yards and beyond.

ONE WEEK after officially being demoted, Atlanta safety Erik Coleman was facing a Sunday in the unfamiliar role of special teams player, but a first quarter injury to Thomas DeCoud brought him back to the Falcons' first unit defense.

Coleman finished second among Atlanta defenders with nine total tackles.
